Pose your avatar after fitting parts to check how they sit around joints and neighboring pieces. A shoulder piece can clear the body in a neutral stance and intersect another piece when the arm moves.

Choose a preset pose

Open Avatar → Change Pose and choose a pose from the available presets. Inspect the result from several angles. Use a neutral stance while entering measurements and initially fitting parts. Use other poses to review the fitted costume. Return to the neutral pose before comparing body measurements or making major alignment changes.

Edit a pose manually

  1. Choose Avatar → Edit Pose.
  2. Select a sphere joint and use Translate to move it, or select a bone and use Rotate to turn it.
  3. Make small changes and inspect the limb and attached parts.
  4. Toggle Edit Pose off when you finish.
Start with one joint, such as an elbow or shoulder. Check neighboring pieces before adjusting another joint. A posed avatar is a visual clearance check, not a simulation of straps, flexible materials, or the wearer’s full range of motion.

Check the fitted costume

Inspect both body clearance and part-to-part intersections. Fit Checker helps inspect a selected part’s clearance to the avatar; also look directly at neighboring pieces.

Reset the pose

Choose Avatar → Reset Pose to restore the default pose while retaining your body setup. Avatar → Reset Avatar is a broader reset that also restores measurements and appearance settings. Save your avatar before using it.

Save and load poses

  • Avatar → Save Pose saves a pose for later use.
  • Avatar → Load Pose opens a saved pose and applies it to the avatar.
Give pose files names that describe the stance or check, such as arms-raised.pose. Use an .avatar file for a reusable body setup, and save the costume project to keep fitted parts. See Saving and reusing avatars.
