Use torso measurements to match the body around the ribcage, then refine the local breast shape. Making the entire chest larger to match breast fullness can also make the torso too broad or too deep. Open Avatar → Edit Avatar. Ribcage settings are under Circumferences → Torso. Breast controls are under Details → Torso.

What each control changes

These are local, blended shape adjustments. They do not model a particular bra’s support, padding, or compression.

Start from a neutral shape

Set Breast Size, Breast Height, and Breast Projection to their midpoints to start from the base mesh’s original breast shape.
  • Move Breast Size left for smaller breasts or right for larger breasts.
  • Move Breast Height left to lower them or right to raise them.
  • Move Breast Projection left to move them inward or right to move them outward.
The midpoint means no adjustment for that control. It does not represent an average body, a specific cup size, or a measured bust circumference.

Match your body in stages

1

Measure in the intended clothing

Wear the bra, supportive garment, or base layer you will use beneath the costume. Record underbust and full bust separately.Underbust is around the ribcage beneath the breasts. Full bust is around the fullest breast area. Keep the tape level and avoid compressing the garment.
2

Match the torso first

Set overall height and torso length. Enter Chest Circumference and Underbust Circumference at the levels shown by their guides.Check front and side views. Use circumference Shape when the ribcage has the right general size but the wrong balance of width and depth.
3

Adjust breast size

Start near the midpoint and adjust Breast Size in small steps. Check the front view for fullness and the side view for depth. The size control has more reduction range than the older combined slider. Use it when the base shape is too full without shrinking the whole ribcage.
4

Set height and projection

Use Breast Height to align the fullest area vertically. Use Breast Projection to refine how far the breast regions sit forward of the torso.Check the transition into the upper chest and underbust. Size, height, and projection are independent, so change one at a time.
5

Check costume clearance

Show the costume again and inspect the chest part from the front, side, and three-quarter views. Check space for the intended base layer, material thickness, and padding.Use Fit Checker to inspect clearance, then save the avatar and costume.

Choose the control for the problem

Can you enter a bra size?

The editor uses shape sliders rather than band-and-cup entry. Do not put a bra band number or cup letter into Chest Circumference, Underbust Circumference, or a breast detail control. A bra size is a clothing size. Cup letters depend on the band and sizing system, and supportive garments can produce different silhouettes. Use actual body measurements and the intended garment as your references. A separate full-bust circumference target is not currently available. Recording it is useful, but the breast sliders do not automatically fit the avatar to that number.

Open an avatar made with the older slider

Older avatar files used one Breast Size slider that changed size, height, and projection together. When you open one, Armorsmith converts that setting into three independent controls to preserve its existing shape. The converted sliders can sit away from their midpoints. That is expected: they retain the old shape rather than reset it. Save a copy with Avatar → Save As before refining it. Saving the converted avatar records the independent settings for subsequent loads. Move the controls to their midpoints only if you want to replace the saved breast adjustments with the base shape.
